Why Does My Remote Desktop Connection Keep Dropping?

I'm having issues with my remote desktop connection. My laptop connects to a server located in a different state using Dynu for dynamic DNS. Initially, everything works fine and I can connect after ensuring I have an IPv4 address set up. However, after some time, the connection drops randomly and I receive an error that says, "There was a problem connecting to the remote resource, please contact your network admin" when I try to reconnect. I've also attempted to connect to another server that's also out of state, but I encounter the same problem. My laptop is new and runs on Windows 11.

What type of server are you connecting to? And which software do you use for the remote connection? That info could help identify the issue.

If it helps, it sounds like a connectivity or network configuration issue. Sometimes, routers can drop connections if they're set to do so for remote desktop programs. You might want to check your router settings or consider using a VPN to keep the connection stable.
