Is there a way to play CDs in my car without a built-in CD player?

I'm looking for a portable CD player that I can connect to my car through USB or USB-C. I have a 2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring Hybrid, which doesn't have a CD player. I know the standard advice is to digitize my CDs or use streaming services like Spotify, which I do often. However, I really want to experience listening to the CDs themselves, as there's something unique about that compared to just streaming. Does anyone know of a solution for this?

An old-school Discman paired with a Bluetooth adapter could work well and would likely cost around $40 together. It’s a bit retro, but much better than being without your CDs!

Most cars come with an AUX port, which means you can connect a portable CD player directly, but controlling it won't be as seamless with your car's interface. However, the sound quality is generally better than Bluetooth, so it's worth considering.

That's true! Plus, it can sometimes be easier to manage sound settings directly through the CD player.

And honestly, that tactile experience of using an actual CD can be fun!”}]},{

Using Bluetooth to connect your CDs is a solid option! You can find portable CD players that connect via Bluetooth, allowing you to retain that CD listening experience without the hassle of wires. Plus, the sound quality should still hold up well even in a moving car, especially with players that support better codecs like aptX HD. Check this link for some good recommendations!

You could also use a Bluetooth transmitter with a regular CD player. That way, you keep things simple and affordable.

True, but remember, a direct wired connection might give you a slightly better sound if you can manage it.
