Hey everyone, I'm contemplating switching to Linux after using Windows for about a decade. A few years back, I attended a Linux workshop and started using VMware to explore Ubuntu. After a while, I jumped into Arch Linux, but after some months, it got corrupted, and I didn't really have a clue why that happened. Fast forward to now, I've graduated and I'm free from the confines of Windows. I want to make a complete switch to Linux without dual booting again. For someone who already has some Linux knowledge, which distribution would you recommend? How can I fully transition away from Windows?

Just a heads up, Windows updates can sometimes mess up Linux installations, especially the bootloader. It’s like they don’t play nice!
