I found an old Acer laptop that belonged to my grandpa, but he can't remember the password to log in, and we're stuck trying to reset it. I'm looking for ways to either bypass the password or completely reset the system to start fresh. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

You can actually bypass the password using a bootable USB with Hiren's Boot CD. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube that show you how to do it, just search for 'Hiren reset password' and it should guide you through the process. Just make sure the model matches your laptop's specs.

I've looked at a bunch of those videos, but it seems like they don't apply to my specific setup. Some of the versions differ from what I'm seeing here.
