I'm looking to upgrade my setup with a new graphics card (a 5070) and I already have 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I'll be using either a B550M-K or an x570 Aorus Ultra motherboard but I'm stuck on which CPU to choose. I've got some Amazon gift cards (totaling $435) and I'm considering a few options: Ryzen 7 5800XT for $340, Ryzen 9 5900X for $645, Ryzen 9 5900XT for $575, and Ryzen 9 5950X for $705. Ideally, I'd like to go for the cheapest CPU option to avoid bottlenecking the 5070, but I'm concerned about its performance for gaming and 3D design.

I'd recommend going with the 5800XT. The others are just too pricey for what they offer. If you really need to save, consider looking into newer platforms instead, but the 5800XT should keep you covered for a while at lower costs.

Totally fair! I'm planning on using this as a stopgap until AM6 launches, which should give me more time to figure out my next full build. Plus, with the leftover cash, I can invest in a nice 1440P monitor!
