I'm building my first PC, and it's a bit nerve-wracking since I invested quite a bit in the components. I have an AMD 5900XT processor and an ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming Wifi II motherboard. However, I'm having trouble with the CPU installation; one side seems to seat perfectly, but the other side is lopsided and not fitting properly. I've checked the CPU pins to ensure they aren't bent, and I'm certain I've aligned everything correctly using the arrow markings. Any advice on what to do?

I ran into a similar issue once. Sometimes the CPU can be tricky with how it fits in the socket. If it's still not working, you might want to try loosening the mounting bracket a bit and then repositioning the CPU. Make sure you're not forcing it in, as that could damage the pins!
First things first, definitely check those CPU pins again! Even a slightly bent pin can cause alignment issues. Also, make sure you're inserting the CPU at the right angle; it should drop in easily if aligned properly. If you're certain everything looks good but it's still not seated right, try gently reseating it after ensuring there’s no debris in the socket.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll look over those pins one more time and give it another shot.

I appreciate it! I’ll adjust the mounting bracket and see if that helps.
