I'm looking to upgrade my GPU since my current one is a 1650 Super and it's quite outdated. I typically don't play very demanding games, but I'm eyeing a few new titles that I want to run better. I've been considering the RTX 3080 Ti and the 7800 XT, but I'm not sure which would be a better fit or if there's something else in my price range around $400-500. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't recommend the RTX 3080 Ti for you due to power supply concerns. It can spike up to 500W, which could risk your PSU and lead to CPU bottlenecking as well. The RX 7800 XT would be a safer choice, but even that's likely to bottleneck a bit. If you're looking for something more within reach, consider the RTX 5060 Ti; it's a solid option for around $500.
Honestly, before jumping to a big upgrade like the 3080 Ti, you might want to check if your motherboard and power supply can actually handle it. It sounds like your system might struggle to support something that powerful. The RX 7800 XT is safer and should give you a good performance boost without those risks.
You should look at either the RX 7800 XT or the RTX 4070 Super. The 4070 is also a great pick if you can find it at a good price. Just keep in mind the power consumption of the 3080 Ti; it's pretty high, and might not play nice with your current setup. Also, the RX 9060 XT is an option if you're okay with something new instead of used.

Thanks for the input! My motherboard is an ASRock Z370 Pro4 and the CPU is an Intel i7-8700. Power supply is MSI MAG A650GL.
