How Do I Create a Custom Tails OS with Pre-installed Apps?

I'm looking to create a customized Tails OS image specifically for my 2019 Mac Pro. While I have experience building the kernel, I'm struggling with how to add pre-installed applications to the image. My goal is to enhance the overall experience and make it easy for others to use without the hassle of additional setup or external peripherals. I'm definitely including Feather, but I'm curious about what other security-focused apps could be beneficial to add. Ideally, I want to develop it so that when I boot up Tails, I can just log in to the apps I need instead of going through a re-installation for each session.

If you're focusing on security, consider adding applications like Tor Browser, VeraCrypt, and GnuPG. They enhance privacy and data security, which align with Tails' goals. And if you run into issues, just check the Tails documentation; it's pretty helpful!

Tails is based on Debian Live, so you can check out their official guide on customizing package installations. It covers how to add your desired apps to the image. Just a heads up, this might not be strictly a programming question, but it's definitely relevant for what you're trying to do!
