Hey everyone! I've been working in help desk support for about 6 months now, supporting around 70 employees at my office. As the only IT person, I handle level 1 issues and maintain assets since my team leader only comes in once a week and supports us remotely. They recently titled me as a Jr. System Admin, but honestly, I feel overwhelmed with the tasks I have. I don't have a lot of knowledge beyond help desk support and I'm considering taking online courses to improve my skills. Should I start with CCNA or AZ-104 to better prepare myself for a Jr. System Admin role? I really need some guidance on what to prioritize first!

Totally go for it! Diving into AZ-104 is a solid choice to solidify your foundation. Once you've got that down, CCNA will help you understand the networking side better. Just take it one step at a time and you'll get there!
Make sure to write out clear questions too; that could help you learn better! Good luck with the courses!
Starting with the fundamentals is key, especially since you're already doing some sysadmin tasks alongside help desk work. I recommend going for AZ-104 first; it covers the basics of Windows and Azure administration which should give you practical skills for your current role. Once you feel more confident about networking, then look into CCNA for deeper networking concepts. Remember to focus on one thing at a time and try to practice in a lab or virtual environment while you're learning!
