I have a bunch of MP3 files that I've downloaded to my Downloads folder on my Mac, and I've added them to iTunes. I'm wondering if I delete those MP3 files from the Downloads folder, will they also be removed from my iTunes library?

Yeah, double-checking the file location is key! You don’t want to accidentally lose your music. But if you find it in the Music folder, clear up that Downloads folder for sure!
It really depends on your iTunes settings. Usually, when you add a song to iTunes, it copies it to the iTunes music folder. To check where a specific track is located, right-click on the file in your iTunes library and select 'Show in Finder.' If the file is in your Music folder, you can safely delete it from Downloads. But if that option takes you back to your Downloads, then it’s the only copy you have, and you shouldn't delete it. Hope this helps!
