Hey everyone! I have a Sony audio system with a couple of wireless speakers that use a HyperRed signal receiver. The speakers pick up the signal from an infrared (IR) connected to the audio system. I also have a phone that supports HyperRed as both a sender and receiver. I'm curious if I can simply plug in the speakers and send audio directly from my phone to them. I tried it, but instead of the speakers playing from my phone, it somehow made the phone play the music that was already playing through the audio system. Maybe I didn't properly block the IR signal. I'm hesitant to try it again without the system. If anyone has tips or knows if I did something wrong, please let me know! Thanks!

Sounds interesting! I looked into HyperRed, and I mostly found stuff about genetic encoding. But based on what you described, it seems like it works kind of like Bluetooth, connected to devices from back in 2005-2006. So, it might be tricky since both the phone and speakers need to be properly aligned to receive the signal. Keep experimenting with it!
Did you manage to get it working? 14 hours later and I’m wondering if you found any solutions!
I was just about to update! Still no luck, but I'm not giving up yet!

Thanks for the info! If it's similar to Bluetooth, maybe there's an adjustment or specific file type needed for audio that could help? Also, keep me posted on your experiments!
