Tips for Upgrading My Old PC

Hey everyone! I've got a pretty old and underpowered PC that I'm looking to improve, but I don't want to spend a lot of money. Here are the specs:
- CPU: Pentium Dual Core E5300
- GPU: Nvidia 9500 GT (512MB)
- RAM: 2GB DDR2 (single channel)
- Old HDD
- Socket 755

I'm hoping to get some advice on how to upgrade it as much as possible without breaking the bank. Any suggestions would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help!

I'd recommend upgrading to a Core 2 Quad and really boosting your RAM. If you can find a used GTX 1050 and a cheap SSD, that would help too! Just check if your motherboard will need any adapters for these components.

Will the video card and SSD connect directly to my motherboard?

You might want to check out getting a used Core 2 Quad Q9550; they're often available on eBay for around $30. But first, definitely upgrade your RAM to dual channel, and aim for 8GB, since DDR2 is super slow. This will make a big difference!

Thanks for the tip!
