I'm on the hunt for a top-notch Linux distribution that supports secure boot and fits my gaming and daily use needs. My current Windows setup has been crashing a lot during games, but I've had a smooth experience using Bazzite. However, I find Bazzite's immutability a bit limiting for my customization preferences. I'd like a distro that allows more freedom without sacrificing performance or ease of use. I plan to keep my Windows on a separate drive. I'm focusing on ease of software installation, customizability, and performance. I have some experience with Ubuntu from school—do you think it's a good option? I've heard Fedora also supports secure boot, and I've seen mixed opinions about it. Can anyone break down the pros and cons of these options or suggest better alternatives? Thanks!

Secure boot isn't really necessary for most users; it's more of a Microsoft thing. Disabling it shouldn’t cause any issues.
I just switched to CachyOS, and it's super user-friendly. Everything works well with games from various platforms. Just keep in mind some games may have issues with kernel-level anti-cheats.
Honestly, any mainstream distro should meet your needs. They all have their perks, and you can game on pretty much any of them.
If you're just starting out, you probably won't see much difference between Fedora Gnome and Ubuntu—pick whichever one you like best! Most distros these days handle gaming pretty well anyway.
