I recently switched to Linux after a decade, and I'm really impressed with how far it's come! I made the jump away from Windows mainly due to licensing costs and the desire for something new. Currently, I'm running Linux Mint on my ASUS Dash 15, and everything is going smoothly—my games work, I'm synced with Google Drive using Cryptomator, and I have ProtonVPN set up. The only issue I'm facing is getting the backlit keyboard function to work. I'd love some suggestions on how to solve this. Thanks!

Welcome back! It's awesome to see you diving into Linux. Sometimes manufacturers make hardware with the assumption that it will only be used with one OS, which might leave some features like backlighting not working right off the bat. Have you reached out to the keyboard manufacturer for support?
You could also try updating to a newer kernel. Sometimes that helps with hardware compatibility.
Hey! I have an ASUS TUF A17 and got my keyboard working by installing OpenRGB. It recognized my keyboard right away, and I was able to configure it almost without any extra steps. Give it a try!
