I recently deleted a video I had downloaded from the internet, and I'm hoping to recover it. It's been about two weeks since I deleted it, so I'm wondering if there's any chance of getting the file back. If recovering the actual file isn't possible, I'd at least like to know its name so I can search for it again. I'm using a Windows laptop and have tried data recovery tools, but so far, they've been unsuccessful. I did play the video a couple of times in VLC media player—could that help in any way?

Have you checked VLC for a list of recently played files? You might be able to find the name of the video there, and then you could search for it online to download it again.
You could also try using Photorec, which is a GUI for TestDisk. If that doesn't find your file, then it might really be unrecoverable. Check out their site for more info: [cgsecurity.org](https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec).
Honestly, recovering deleted data on modern laptops is pretty tough. Windows SSDs usually support TRIM commands, which means deleted files can be gone in seconds—making recovery nearly impossible.
It might be possible to recover your video. One option is to try using EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. Even the free version could help you get it back. Just make sure to avoid writing anything to the disk until you're done with recovery; that increases your chances of success.

Yeah, but keep in mind that if you're on a modern SSD, data recovery gets tricky because of the TRIM command that deletes the data immediately—so timing is crucial here.
