Hi everyone,
I'm searching for a reliable backup solution for Google Workspace data, specifically to ensure we have backups of our Shared Drives. Since we're based in Europe, I'm interested in options that are also Europe-based. We currently have nearly 10,000 licenses and around 300 Shared Drives. So far, I've found a few options:
1. CloudM - It's based in the US and relies on external storage like AWS or Google Cloud, which means additional costs for storage. It seems I can license only select users, which doesn't fit our needs as we keep needing new licenses spontaneously.
2. Keepit - This one is Europe-based and offers licenses for all users actively using Shared Drives, which is about 3,000 for us. They handle their own storage, which is included with their licenses, and there are no limits on the number of Shared Drives.
3. Acronis - I believe they also have a Europe-based solution, but I'm still waiting on pricing and licensing information.
Has anyone here used any of these services? I'd love to hear about your experiences or any other recommendations you may have. Thanks!

You might want to consider Active Backup for Google Workspace on a Synology server if that's an option for you. If you already have Synology hardware, it could be a straightforward solution, but if not, maybe Acronis would be better? I’ve had good experiences with their local device backup and their support team is generally quite helpful.
Just to add, we have EU-based storage options, and our headquarters are in Switzerland, so we comply with local regulations. If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out or even check out our community.
I’ve found Keepit to be the most comprehensive choice since it comes with its own storage and follows GDPR guidelines. Plus, it automatically recognizes new Shared Drives without causing headaches.
I've used CubeBackup for a couple of small businesses. While I'm not sure how it scales for 10,000 users, if you don’t have on-premise infrastructure, it should be easy enough to set up in a European data center if you decide to go that route.
