I've been facing severe performance issues when trying to play games lately. My CPU usage spikes to 100%, but my GPU barely hits 20%. It's frustrating because I used to get over 200 fps in games like Apex Legends, Dead by Daylight, and Marvel Rivals, but now I'm stuck at around 30 fps. This problem has developed recently, and despite trying various fixes, the situation seems to be getting worse. Can anyone offer some solutions? Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x, RTX 3080, ASROCK X570 Phantom, and 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, powered by a Corsair RM850x power supply.

Have you checked your temps? Open Task Manager to see if any background processes are using a lot of resources besides your games. Performance drops like this usually point to either overheating issues (thermal throttling) or some software running in the background that’s hogging your CPU.

My CPU is hitting around 90 °C, but my GPU is only maxing out at 55 °C. It used to reach 80 °C. So, I guess overheating could be a factor!
