I've been using Battery Conservation mode on my Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5, which is supposed to limit the battery charge to 80%, but I'm still noticing that it charges up to 100% when I'm gaming or streaming videos. This happens whether I'm in Balanced/Adaptive mode or Performance Mode. Is there any way to fix this?

You mentioned wanting to keep your battery under 100%. Some users consider tweaking BIOS settings. Might it be worth checking those settings to see if you can impose a stricter charge limit? Just a thought since overcharging can stress the battery.
The Battery Conservation Mode isn’t a strict limit on the IdeaPad Slim 5. When you’re playing games or streaming, your laptop may demand more power than the charger can provide. To prevent power dips, it sometimes overrides that 80% cap and charges the battery to 100%. This is how Slim and IdeaPad models generally work. Unlike ThinkPads, they don’t enforce the 80% limit strictly. Unfortunately, there isn’t a fix for this behavior.
