I've been writing novels as a hobby and have been using Claude since February. Recently, I've noticed that the length of the chat seems to have decreased. I'm curious if upgrading to the 90 euro version would extend the chat limits. For reference, the 20 euro version has a 100K word limit, which I've verified with my own work. So, is the 90 euro version really worth it? Does it provide more space for my writing?

I’d recommend trying out Gemini 2.5 Pro first. It's about 20 bucks a month and offers basically unlimited usage, which might suit your novel-writing needs better. I found Claude to be pretty dull for writing anyway. Also, bear in mind that if your current prompts are long, that might be why your chat length feels shorter. You don't always have to include everything from your existing novel in each prompt!
It honestly depends on what you're aiming for. If the pro plan isn’t cutting it, then maybe the upgrade is worth it for you. I wouldn’t recommend listening to those who say Gemini Pro 2.5 is better; I use both and Claude definitely holds its ground—better than the latest Gemini update, in fact!
Agreed! I tried Gemini 2.5 too, and Claude is really top tier.
If you're looking for something different, check out AI Studio! You can use Gemini 2.5 Pro to analyze your writing and create tailored instructions, plus it handles longer chats really well without losing the quality.
I just subscribed to the 90 euro version yesterday and I have to say, it's worth every cent especially for coding tasks. I get a lot from Claude’s features!
What exactly do you mean by "Claude code"? Sounds intriguing!
Are you the one who writes the novels? Just making sure I understand your situation!
Yes, that's me!
Totally agree—Claude seems more geared for programmers anyway. But honestly, Gemini isn't the greatest at creative writing either. There are other options out there tailored for writers.
