I've been having issues with my WiFi where it connects but there's no internet access, and I keep getting disconnected. Following advice, I uninstalled my WiFi drivers, but now the WiFi button has disappeared, and it's stuck on airplane mode. I've tried everything I could think of, like checking WLAN auto config settings and device manager for hidden drivers, but nothing worked. I was told to download the drivers from Huawei's website, but I can't do that without an internet connection. I also considered using a USB to transfer the drivers, but I don't have one. What are my options now?

Try connecting your laptop to the router with an Ethernet cable if you have one. That way, you should be able to get internet access to download the drivers directly from Huawei. If not, you could use another device like a phone to download the drivers and transfer them via USB cable—just don’t forget to enable the proper connection mode! Good luck!
You could also open Device Manager, right-click on the wireless adapter (look for any warning icons), and click 'install driver.' Windows might find a generic driver for you. If that doesn't work, borrowing a friend's device to download the driver would be your best bet.
Since you uninstalled the wireless device, it might be tricky. If all else fails, maybe try to use your phone to download the appropriate driver, connect it to your laptop with a data cable, and transfer it over. Don’t forget to check that you’ve got the correct kind of cable for data, not just charging!
You might want to check if you have any system restore points that could help. Just go to Control Panel, type in Recovery, and see if you can find one that dates back before you had issues with your WiFi driver. If a restore point is available, restore it and see if that gets your WiFi working again!

What if Windows doesn’t automatically reinstall the driver?
