How Can I Create New Gmail Accounts Without Using My Phone Number?

I've been trying to set up a new Gmail account, but it keeps asking for my phone number and then tells me that I have too many accounts. I really dislike the new authentication process. Does anyone have advice on how to create a new account without needing a phone number?

Be mindful that Google restricts how many accounts you can have based on your device. If it’s saying you have too many, it might mean you already hit the limit on your device, which is usually around 4 or 5 accounts. Check if you can free up some space by deleting old accounts you don't use anymore.

If you’re looking to manage multiple Gmail accounts, you can actually use a neat trick. Just add a plus sign (+) to your email address when signing up. For example, if your email is ‘[email protected]’, you can use ‘[email protected]’, and it will still go to your main inbox. This can help you bypass some account limits without needing to create completely new accounts.

If you really want to go without using your phone, consider getting a VoIP service. They can help with the authentication by providing a number that can receive the verification codes. Just keep in mind this could cause issues if you end up getting locked out of your account later.

I tried the VoIP solution before, but it just kept asking for verification without providing an option to skip the phone number part. Might have to just stick with my main account for now!

Honestly, it seems like a phone number is now pretty much a requirement for creating a new Gmail account. They added this for security reasons, which can be frustrating if you’d prefer not to use your number.
