I'm looking for a motherboard that can adequately support my 9800X3D without facing thermal throttling issues. I'm not interested in extra features—just want something reliable. If the Gigabyte B650M H isn't up to the task, I'd appreciate suggestions for other budget-friendly options.

Look for a board with at least 8+ phases on the VRM and make sure it has a heatsink.
Just get a decent cooler and steer clear of ASRock boards when using the X3Ds. Most B-class boards are fine for AM5 since they’re generally well-made, even if some of the budget models don't have fancy features.
Why should we avoid the ASRock X3D combo, though?
Short answer: no. Long answer: it might work, but it's not the best choice. You'll need to tweak the factory settings on the 9800X3D, and even then, expect to use some aluminum from AliExpress with thermal glue since the VRMs will likely overheat.
Yep, it should work, but keep an eye on the VRM temperatures.

But is the Gigabyte B650M H really okay? It’s a B-class board that lacks a heatsink on the VRMs.
