Hey everyone! I've recently upgraded to iCloud with 200 GB of additional storage because I was almost maxed out at 59.83/64 GB. I started getting warnings and couldn't save anything. Just yesterday, I went to a Lady Gaga concert, and to my dismay, I got a notification on my camera saying I couldn't record anymore due to insufficient space. It was super frustrating because I missed capturing some great moments! But today, I'm back home, and I can record again without seeing those full storage alerts. I'm a bit confused about how this all works, so I would really appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks a ton! ❤️

It sounds like there's a bit of confusion between your phone storage and iCloud storage. Your iPhone has its own storage, and when that fills up, you can't record videos or save files, even if you have space in iCloud. It takes some time for your phone to upload items to iCloud and free up space. Yesterday, your phone probably hadn't had a chance to do that yet, which is why you couldn't record. Today, it likely managed to do some syncing, so you were able to film again!
Oh that makes sense! So I really just need to be patient while it transfers everything. Thanks for clarifying!
Also, depending on when you upgraded and your iCloud Photos settings, your photos might not have been synced yet. Sometimes, if you have a lot of high-quality photos or videos, it can fill up pretty quickly. Plus, with only 64GB, you might want to check what else is taking up space on your phone, as you can't just stream everything to iCloud—you need local storage first.
Thanks for explaining that, it really helps to understand how it works! ❤️

And just so you know, you can manually force your phone to sync with iCloud anytime from the settings. You don’t have to just wait around for it to happen automatically.
