I'm looking to create a digital archive using my free Google Drive, where I can store pictures, videos, and links to my favorite YouTube playlists for my boyfriend to access after I pass away. I also want to back this up on a USB drive for extra safety. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I need some guidance on how to do this without running into issues. I want to avoid complications with him trying to sign into my various accounts like Google or Snapchat, especially with two-step verification. Could someone with experience help me out to ensure everything is set up correctly without risk of losing any data?

I’ve read that a really straightforward approach is to consolidate everything into one Google account, then utilize Google’s Inactive Account Manager. This feature automatically gives access to someone you trust if you haven’t used the account for a certain period. It’s a great fail-safe!
It's a good idea for him to log into your accounts occasionally. Google tends to delete accounts that haven't been logged into for two years, which wouldn't be ideal. You can add his email as a backup or recovery contact for your accounts, and print out all the logins and passwords he might need.
The easiest way to handle this is to organize all your stuff into folders on Google Drive and then share the main folder with your boyfriend's email. This way, he can access everything without needing to log into your account. Make sure to also backup everything on a USB drive and consider leaving a note about your accounts and the two-factor authentication backup codes just in case.

Thanks a lot for that suggestion! Quick question, what exactly is the 2FA code?
