I've been using a dual-boot setup with Arch (specifically Endeavour OS) for a while, and I've tried multiple Hyprland dotfiles, but I often find myself going back to Windows. My Arch setup fails sometimes, configurations get corrupted after updates, or I spend hours fixing dotfiles because they keep changing. I'm looking to fully switch to Linux, so I'm exploring different distributions. I have a laptop with an Nvidia GPU (4070) that I use with an external monitor, and I occasionally play games, so stability is crucial for me. I'm considering using a desktop environment like KDE to help with dotfile issues. Right now, I'm debating between sticking with Arch-based distros like CachyOS or switching to Fedora. I prefer a tiling setup but can compromise for better stability.

If you're keen on tiling, you can add Kronkhite to KDE Plasma. I'm also a fan of Bazzite; it's atomic, which means stability is really high while still allowing normal usage through Flatpaks and containers. It’s a good way to get hands-on with different software installations.
Have you thought about sticking with Endeavour but trying out a DE? KDE Plasma can really help handle those dotfile headaches and improve stability overall. Plus, a lot of distros are customizable if you look around.
Honestly, I'd say stick with Arch but move to KDE Plasma. I've been on it for about ten years, and it’s rock solid! You might find that combo pretty stable if you're familiar with Arch already.
NixOS could be worth a shot! It’s very predictable and stable due to its unique declarative config model, which makes it a solid choice for reliability.

That was my first thought too; it's definitely my fallback option. But I’m interested in CachyOS since it’s gaming-focused. I’ve never tried Fedora or Nobara, so I’m looking for options.
