I've found plenty of visualizer and waveform tools that process MP3s or other recordings after the fact, but I'm looking for something that reacts in real time. Ideally, I could speak into a microphone and see my voice displayed immediately as an oscilloscope-style waveform. Does anyone know of a program that can do this?

A browser-based virtual oscilloscope can do exactly this: allow microphone access, then draw the incoming audio waveform live. If you need something installed locally, look for downloadable oscilloscope or audio-analyzer software, since some of the online demos are not packaged as standalone programs.
It sounds like you need a live oscilloscope rather than a general DSP or audio-editing program. A virtual oscilloscope should let you select your microphone as the input and watch your voice in real time.
Right, I’m specifically looking for a live display of my voice from the microphone, not something that processes an existing recording.
Try searching for a “virtual oscilloscope.” There are quite a few tools designed to take live microphone input and display the waveform as it changes.
That kind of browser demo is the closest match so far. I was hoping to find an installable version, but I may have to use it in the browser.
