Hey folks! So, I just got hired for a web development job and I'm really excited about it—they're offering a salary that's better than I expected. However, they've asked me to come into the office every day during the 6-month trial period. Is this something that's normal in 2025?

For sure! In my experience in Switzerland, it’s quite common for companies to require in-office presence during trial periods. I think it helps both the employer and the employee to get a feel for the working relationship.
Yeah, I think that's pretty standard. During the trial phase, they really want to see your skills in action, so being in the office helps with that.
Definitely! Many jobs are still fully in-office, especially since companies are pushing for a return to office work lately. It might be an adjustment, but it happens!
Thanks for the insight! I heard my company is based in Germany, which makes sense then!
