I've been dealing with an annoying issue where my AirPods start beeping for about a minute every time I pick them up or if they're moved around. This happens even when they're in the charging case and usually after they've been sitting for a long time. I found out it's some sort of feature, but I really want to turn it off because it's frustrating! Is there a way to make it stop?

It could be related to a feature Apple added. They mention that to keep the microphones and speakers in top shape, AirPods might chime quietly when they're in the case. Obviously, it shouldn’t chime outside the case, but it could be a bug if that happens. Check out Apple's support page for more details!
I used to experience this too! It seems like it's not just AirPods; my AirTag does something similar if I move my keys after leaving them stationary for ages. Might be something to do with the Find My feature, but it’s all a bit of a mystery.
I totally get what you're saying! I had the same problem with mine, but I fixed it by charging them for about 24 hours. After that, the beeping stopped. Just to clarify, I bought mine directly from Apple, so I know they're genuine!
Okay yeah I’ll try that, thanks for the tip!
Are you sure they’re not knockoffs? This doesn’t sound like a feature of real AirPods.
Trust me, they’re legit! I bought them from the Apple Store.
This happens inside the case, so maybe it is that feature, but I find it strange that it beeps when I pick them up only after a long time.
