Hey everyone, I recently upgraded from an MSI GeForce GTX 1060 to an ASUS DUAL GeForce RTX 4060 O8G EVO. However, I'm experiencing a problem: while watching Twitch on my 1080p monitor, the temperature on my RTX 4060 rises by 1°C every 15 seconds until it hits 60°C. At that point, the fans kick in and cool it down to 40°C. This constant cooling cycle is really annoying, especially since I watch Twitch for about two hours every day. My old 1060 never reached 60°C while just watching streams, and it was much quieter. I've tried turning off GPU acceleration in Chrome, but that hasn't helped. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Honestly, this is pretty standard for newer GPUs. Adjusting the fan curve is key here. The fans can be configured to run at a lower RPM and stay on more consistently, which could help prevent that annoying on-and-off cycle whenever you’re streaming.
You might want to adjust the fan curve in MSI Afterburner. If the noise is bothering you, you can set it so the fans run at a lower speed, or even constantly, which might help make it less annoying.
I get what you're saying, but I kind of wish the fans could just stay off when I'm just browsing. My old 1060 was great at that!
