Why Aren’t My WP Rocket Optimizations Showing in Google PageSpeed Insights?

Hey everyone! I'm having a bit of a dilemma with my WordPress site that's optimized using WP Rocket. While the optimizations like lazy loading and JS/CSS tweaks appear just fine when I check my site directly, they don't seem to register in Google PageSpeed Insights. I suspect this might be due to a proxy cache active on my server, as I've never run into this issue before on other setups. I've also tried using Asset Cleanup Pro and noticed that when I merge all CSS files, the changes show up in PageSpeed, so it's definitely more of a problem with WP Rocket. I'm not too knowledgeable about server configurations or proxy caching, so I'm wondering if anyone has tips on what I should ask my hosting provider to do to get WP Rocket's optimizations to show up in PageSpeed Insights while keeping the proxy cache active. Any thoughts would be super helpful!

Hey! If your site is loading quickly for the users and their devices, that's a good sign! PageSpeed scores are important, but they aren't everything. If your users aren’t experiencing any lags or issues, you might not need to stress too much about the PageSpeed scores. But if your clients are fixated on those numbers, it's worth investigating further. You might want to ask your hosting provider about how the proxy cache interacts with WP Rocket's optimizations, as that could be causing the discrepancies you're seeing.

Totally agree! As long as your website is fast for the users, that’s what really counts. I’d also encourage you to keep testing and tweaking to see if you can push those scores up, especially for mobile. Clients love numbers, and seeing the score in the 90s can definitely help to ease their concerns!
