I'm choosing between a used Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti and AMD RX 6700 XT. The 6700 XT is roughly 10 FPS faster in the games I expect to play, but I'm still considering the 3060 Ti because of Nvidia features such as microphone noise reduction and stronger ray-tracing support. Are those features valuable enough to justify giving up the 6700 XT's extra performance, or does AMD offer comparable alternatives? My budget is limited: a used 3060 Ti costs around $200, while a 3080 is closer to $320 and newer cards cost nearly twice as much. I'm mainly interested in gaming and would also like to know whether either card could handle the newer version of The Witcher 3.

At this performance level, the RX 6700 XT is usually the better gaming choice. It has more raw performance and 12GB of VRAM, while ray tracing on a 3060 Ti can reduce frame rates substantially. Nvidia’s features are nice, but I wouldn’t choose the 3060 Ti solely for ray tracing unless you specifically play games where you’re willing to use DLSS and lower settings.
The 3060 Ti can run ray tracing in games like Control, Metro Exodus, and Battlefield V, especially with DLSS enabled. You can get around 60 FPS in some titles, but it’s not the same as having plenty of headroom. For most modern games, the 6700 XT’s extra raster performance will probably be more useful.
Nvidia Broadcast and its noise removal are generally more polished than AMD’s equivalent tools. AMD has noise-suppression options, but driver or software issues can make them inconsistent. If clean microphone audio is important for work or streaming, Nvidia has an advantage, though you can also use third-party noise suppression with either card.
If you can stretch the budget, a used RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT would be a bigger upgrade, and a newer 16GB card would be more comfortable for current games. That said, if those options would use most of your savings, the 6700 XT is still a sensible budget pick. The best choice depends heavily on the condition, warranty, power supply requirements, and local prices.
