I'm curious about what web browsers different organizations are using. We're in the process of deciding which browser to adopt in our workplace. What are you all using and what factors influenced your choice?

We still allow a mix of Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. It helps keep everyone happy, but I'm nudging people towards Edge when I can. Maybe I'm just being a bit lazy because dealing with lost Chrome bookmarks can be a bit of a hassle.

Haha, I feel you on that! Our helpdesk often ends up being the 'bookmark fairy' too.

We went through the same thing even allowing Firefox just for the developers, but in general Edge is getting more love.

We allow users to choose from Chrome, Edge, and a couple of others depending on their roles. We phase out browsers that cause issues. I think leaning towards Edge makes a lot of sense in a Microsoft-heavy setup.

A lot of companies are doing that. Simplifying choices can boost productivity.

Definitely! The integrations just make more sense.

Most of us use Edge here since we're primarily a Microsoft environment. We actually phased out Chrome last year, and while some users were unhappy at first, it works much better overall. I even challenged those who were resistant to try Edge for a month, and they didn't come back with complaints!

Same here, we only keep Chrome around for a few specific cases, otherwise it's just Edge.

We did a similar thing! It made the transition smoother and users appreciated the syncing features with OneDrive.

Edge is really becoming the go-to here. We've officially made it the primary browser, particularly for internal work, while Chrome still exists for those who really need it. Makes things easier, especially with updates being managed centrally.

Totally! Central management really helps keep everything running smoothly.

Exactly! Plus, users only have to get used to one main browser.

Our default is Chrome since we're in a Google Workspace environment. Edge is available too, but most users stick to what they know best. Changing the mindset around browsers can be hard!

GoogleGuy45 -

Definitely. People tend to stick with what they're comfortable with, even if there are better options.

I hear you! Transitional changes like this can take time to get fully adopted.
