I saw the same thing on another Amazon-linked account. In my case, the small hold disappeared, and I had previously received a notice explaining that the authorization would be released right away. If the charge doesn’t reverse or you see anything else unusual, open a billing support case so they can review the account.
This is usually a temporary authorization used to verify that the card is valid. The charge should be released or reversed automatically, and it doesn’t necessarily indicate that your account or card has been compromised. It’s still worth checking your AWS billing history and account activity if you’re concerned.
