I'm having trouble linking my AirPods Max to my iCloud account and adding them to Find My. I've paired them with my iPhone over Bluetooth, but Find My only displays my phone. When I choose the option to add another item, it searches but never detects the headphones. I also have two Apple TVs. Do I need to press the noise-control and Digital Crown buttons to put the AirPods Max into discovery mode first?

Make sure Find My is enabled on the Apple device you’re using, then pair the AirPods Max through the normal Bluetooth setup. After they’re paired, they should normally be associated with your Apple Account automatically. You generally shouldn’t add them through the manual “other item” search. Also, the noise-control button and Digital Crown are used for resetting or pairing workflows, not as a separate step after the headphones are already connected.

They are paired to my iPhone, but Find My still only shows the phone. I tried the manual add-item search anyway, and it never finds the headphones.
