I have an Intel Core i5-14400F and I'm considering selling my current graphics card for a while. Would the computer still be usable without a dedicated GPU for basic tasks like browsing in Chrome or playing small games?

Unfortunately, the “F” in i5-14400F means the processor has no integrated graphics. Your motherboard’s video outputs won’t work without a dedicated graphics card, so you won’t have a normal display for Windows, Chrome, or games.
A cheap temporary graphics card is probably the easiest solution. You don’t need anything powerful just for Chrome and lightweight games—an older, compatible card should provide display output until you buy a better GPU later.
The computer might power on and possibly boot without a GPU, but that doesn’t make it practical to use. You would need remote access or software-based display rendering, which is complicated and especially inconvenient if you don’t have another computer available.
That sounds like the best option since I don’t have a second computer for remote access. I’ll probably look for an inexpensive card to use temporarily.
