My Gmail and Drive storage has reached the 15 GB limit after almost 15 years. I'd like to move or preserve all of my email and other data in a new account rather than deleting anything. Is there a simple, free method for transferring everything?

Google Takeout is the simplest starting point. Export your Gmail and Drive data, then download the archive. Keep in mind that Takeout usually produces Gmail messages in MBOX format, so importing them into the new account takes an additional step.
MailStore Home can archive the old mailbox in several formats and is worth considering if you mainly want a local backup. For a full Gmail-to-Gmail migration, though, Thunderbird or a dedicated backup utility is generally more practical.
