For a home, garage, or backyard setup, a small action camera on a headband—or even mounted to a toy vehicle—would be more practical and easier for people to understand.
A GoPro or similar action camera with a head strap or chin strap is probably the simplest option. It won’t attach directly to the glasses, but it gives a stable, hands-free point of view and is designed for movement.
Look at headband mounts made for hiking, tennis, cycling, or snowboarding. They’re generally more secure than trying to clamp a camera onto eyeglass frames, and some mounts can also be worn with sunglasses.
A chest harness could work if you don’t need the exact perspective of your eyes. It’s often more comfortable for longer recordings and less likely to shift while you’re moving around.
