I have an Alienware R10 that originally belonged to my aunt. It has a Ryzen 5 3500, RTX 2060 Super, 32GB of RAM after a recent upgrade, and a 550W power supply. I mainly want smoother performance in Forza Horizon 5, Fortnite, and similar games. What graphics card would provide a worthwhile upgrade while staying within the limits of the 550W PSU? I'm also improving the case fans because the system doesn't have liquid cooling, and I'm concerned about Alienware's proprietary hardware and upgrade compatibility.

Before choosing a card, check your monitor resolution and refresh rate. For 1080p gaming, the RTX 2060 Super is still capable, so a newer midrange card may not feel like a huge upgrade unless you want higher settings or refresh rates. Something around an RTX 4060 would be reasonable, but a 4060 Ti may offer limited value for this system.
The Ryzen 5 3500 could hold back a substantially faster GPU, especially at 1080p and high frame rates. It would be worth considering a stronger compatible Ryzen processor later, but first confirm which CPUs the Alienware motherboard and BIOS support. Alienware systems can have unusual compatibility limits, so don’t assume a standard upgrade will work without checking.

The power supply, available connectors, and physical card clearance all matter here.
