I've been wondering why my browser works seamlessly with my VPN without needing to bind it, while I do have to bind my torrent client. Also, if I connect to my company's virtual desktop while working from home with the VPN on, will they see my actual home IP address or the VPN's IP address? Any insights or examples?

The reason you don't need to bind your browser is that it's likely using the VPN traffic automatically, but torrent clients are different. Are you using a browser-based VPN or an OS-level one? Just be aware that if your VPN drops and the torrent client isn't bound, it'll revert to your regular internet connection. That's a big deal if you're downloading copyrighted stuff!
I see what you mean! Thanks for clarifying!
