I'm studying for an AWS AI certification and have been blocked for several weeks while trying to use Amazon Bedrock. It seems that newer accounts can access Bedrock automatically, while older accounts may need additional approval or model access enabled through support. I've opened several support requests, but responses arrive days later and the tickets are closed before the issue is resolved. Creating a new account didn't help because it was flagged as ineligible for the free tier, and I still have credits on my existing learning account. Is there another way to activate Bedrock or get meaningful support?

AWS has been moving toward simplified Bedrock access. In some regions, opening the Bedrock playground and trying to use a model automatically handles the required marketplace subscription or access request. Try selecting a model in the playground and invoking it directly, then check whether the model-access settings show anything that still needs approval. Also verify that you’re working in a region where the model is available.
If the account still requires support intervention, upgrading the support plan temporarily may provide access to phone or faster chat support. Include the account ID, region, model name, exact error message, screenshots, and the fact that previous tickets were closed as duplicates. That gives the support agent enough context to act without starting the same question-and-answer loop.
Before opening another case, check the Bedrock console in each region you plan to use. Confirm that the desired foundation model is available there, that model access is enabled, and that your IAM user or role has permissions such as invoking Bedrock models. A missing permission or unavailable model can look like an account-activation problem even when Bedrock itself is enabled.
I’ve already opened several tickets with the details, but new ones keep getting closed because AWS says another ticket is already open. I may need to escalate through a different support channel rather than submitting more duplicate requests.
