I've noticed that my Ethernet speed is significantly slower than my Wi-Fi. A few days ago, my Ethernet speed dropped and now it's stuck around 9.4 Mbps, while my Wi-Fi speed is usually between 64 to 72 Mbps. I've tried changing to a new Ethernet cable (Cat-6, if I'm correct), but it hasn't helped. The Ethernet port light is blinking yellow instead of green, which makes me think there's something off. I've reset the router, adjusted settings through the terminal, and updated my Ethernet drivers, yet nothing seems to work. I'm even considering updating the BIOS. Any advice would be appreciated!

You could also look at potential interference from VPN apps or network optimizers. These can slow things down too. And check if there are any loops in your Ethernet connections that might disrupt the flow. I know that some ISPs can cause these issues without it being obvious, especially on mesh networks.
What type of motherboard are you using? If your board doesn’t support gigabit Ethernet, that could explain the lower speeds.
I have an MSI Gaming Plus B450 ATX motherboard.
Have you checked if you're using the same tool to measure speeds for both your Wi-Fi and Ethernet? Sometimes, people confuse Mbps with MBps, which can make a big difference in understanding what's happening since 72 Mbps equals about 9 MBps. Just something to double-check!
I'm using the same software and it measures the speeds correctly. My PC is really stuck at 9 Mbps, but my phone and another laptop are pulling the correct speeds.
Have you tried troubleshooting the connection? If you already replaced the cable and the speeds are still low, it may not just be the modem or router causing the issue. Sometimes contacting the ISP can be a hassle, but it might be worth it if nothing else works. What do you think?
I did get a new cable, but I'm still facing the same low speeds. If it were a modem issue, I'd expect slow Wi-Fi too, but everything is fine there!
I checked for interference and nothing has changed. If it was a network issue, I think my Wi-Fi would also be slower, but Wi-Fi is performing just fine.
