What to do if I think someone is accessing my Wi-Fi and personal accounts?

I'm concerned that someone might be trying to get my information through my Wi-Fi. Recently, I downloaded some cracked files, and I'm not very tech-savvy. I think those files had a Trojan virus since I had to reinstall Windows to fix my computer. It seems okay now, but I've noticed that my network is really slow, and someone tried to log into my sister's account, which is strange because she has never used my PC. What steps should I take to secure my information?

Honestly, downloading cracked files can invite a lot of trouble, especially if you're not very experienced with tech. Besides changing your router password, make sure you have backups of important files, preferably stored off-site. Be careful about illegal downloads in the future!

Reinstalling Windows is good, but make sure you actually reformatted your drives and updated everything. Don't forget to install antivirus software after that. Also, changing the router password is a must!

Just a heads up, a virus could be on your router too. If that's the case, everything you connect to it might get reinfected, no matter what you do on your computer. You might want to look into professional help for this one.

First off, definitely run a full virus scan on your computer to see if there's anything lingering around. Also, change the password on your router as that can help keep unauthorized users out. If you're really worried, it might be a good idea to get a professional to help out.

Yeah, I think getting a pro involved might be necessary if you're unsure about handling it yourself.
