I'm a backend engineer with experience in Golang, Java, and a bit of C#. I've used Azure mostly just to get tasks done without deep diving into it. My company offers financial support for Microsoft Certifications, and I'm looking for advice on which ones would be beneficial for my career goals. I aim to move up from SWE2 to a senior level soon. How can these certs help me, and what's a realistic time commitment to prepare for them? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

From my experience, the AZ-700 certification is one of the most valuable ones out there. It's provided me with insights that I find applicable in various situations.

Honestly, just go for all of them! Each certification adds a unique piece to your skillset.

I’d suggest looking into the DevOps certifications. They blend development and operations, which could align well with your backend experience.

If you're thinking about Azure certifications, the security path is a great option! Security is crucial in today’s tech environment, and having a solid foundation could really enhance your career prospects.

A solid path could be AZ-900 first, then move onto AZ-204 and AZ-400. It covers both development and operations nicely, especially if your company is willing to pay for it!
