Hey everyone, I'm really feeling stuck in my Data Structures and Algorithms class. I scored the lowest in a class of 200 on my first midterm, and even after working hard and improving by 33%, I still failed the second midterm. I've attended office hours with my professor and TA, completed worksheets, and even went to peer tutoring, but nothing seems to help. The lectures are all prerecorded, and for some reason, I find them difficult to follow even though I actually enjoy the subject. I'm just looking for some guidance on how I can get better at this. Any suggestions?

Practice is key! Go back to your older assignments that you found tough and redo them. It helps reinforce your understanding and familiarity with the material.
The exams can be tricky, especially with such abstract topics. Try reviewing your past quizzes and midterms to see where you went wrong. If your lectures are confusing, check out other professors on YouTube for the same topics; it might click better for you. Just make sure to really grasp the concepts before going back to your original lectures!
Thanks for the tips! I definitely plan to check out YouTube videos and get a textbook to help me out. Just to clarify, when I said I improved by 33%, I went from 20% on the first midterm to 53% on the second!
