I'm looking for an affordable laptop that can handle Coreldraw 2018. I'm considering a refurbished Dell from 2020, but I'm curious about how long it might last and if it's a good option. Any thoughts?

Wow, 4 cores just for basic tasks? My old gaming laptop from 2012 only had 2 cores before it died! I get that you want the cheapest option for Coreldraw and some basic 3D modeling. Just be mindful of the specs you need, but the refurbished Dell could still be a solid pick if it meets those requirements.

Most computers can last a surprisingly long time. I still have some 20-year-old machines that run fine! The big question is whether the refurbished Dell can keep up with your needs as software and websites become more demanding. Ensure it has at least 16GB of RAM, an SSD, and ideally 4 CPU cores for smooth performance with office tasks. For Coreldraw 2018, that setup should work well.

The lifespan really depends on how you treat the laptop. If you take good care of it, you could get years out of it. You might want to check out Lenovo ThinkPads as well; I had an old laptop from 2009 that lasted me almost a decade! Those models are generally easy to open and have user-replaceable batteries, which is a big plus.
