I've been using my Gmail account for years, but recently I've started receiving verification messages from services like TEMU, even after I changed my password. Today, however, I got another verification email that contains a password I've never used before. I have two-factor authentication (2FA) set up with my phone number, so I'm wondering if it's still possible for someone to access my email despite these security measures. I've checked the Google account section that shows devices accessing my account, and it only lists my PC and phone. Any insights would be appreciated!

If you’re worried, you could upgrade your 2FA with security tokens like Google Titan or YubiKey. This way, you’ll need a physical key to log in, which adds extra security. Just make sure to disable any other 2FA methods to streamline the process. Plus, these tokens often work with NFC on mobile devices!
It doesn’t seem likely that your email is compromised, but it’s possible that someone may have accessed your TEMU account if it uses your email. Consider changing the password again and enabling notifications for any unusual activity. If you didn’t sign up for TEMU, then someone else might be using your email for their account, which could explain the alerts.
Yeah, if someone is using your email for their account, you could always try reaching out to TEMU support to resolve it.
Gmail can sometimes send notifications to multiple similar addresses. I had a similar issue when I mistakenly registered an email that was almost identical to someone else's. It’s not uncommon to get notifications meant for someone else if they enter their email incorrectly.
That sounds interesting! Can I set this up just through my Google account, or is it a separate service I have to sign up for?
