I'm shopping for a graphics card priced at $550 or less and want to stay within budget for 1440p gaming. I mainly play games such as Minecraft, Icarus, Scrap Mechanic, and Grounded. I was considering the RX 9070 GRE, but a few reviews made me question whether it offers good value. The regular RX 9070 is currently too expensive for my budget. I'd prefer a card with at least 10GB of VRAM that can take advantage of a 240Hz monitor, with a target of around 90 FPS in the more demanding games and roughly 160 FPS in Minecraft. What graphics cards should I consider?

If you’re comfortable buying used, an RTX 3080 can often be found for around $350. It’s a little slower than the 9070 GRE in newer games but still performs well at 1440p. Just keep in mind that it uses more power and only has 10GB of VRAM.
The 9070 GRE is worth considering based on its performance per dollar. Reviews can vary, but it’s generally one of the better choices for a new card with 10GB or more of VRAM in this price range.
At this budget, the RX 9070 GRE is probably the strongest new-card option, especially if you can find it close to $550. It has enough VRAM for 1440p and should pair well with a Ryzen 7 7700X.
I wasn’t trying to say the card was bad. I just saw a few reviews that were pretty negative and made it sound like the value wasn’t very good.
