Has Anyone Used Split-Loom Tubing for PC Cable Management?

Has anyone used plastic split-loom tubing to organize and tidy the cables inside a PC case? I build PCs and am always looking for better cable-management methods, so I'm wondering whether loom tubing works well in practice or if braided sleeving and spiral wrap are better choices. I'd also be interested in any advice about avoiding overly tight bends, blocking components, or making future cleaning and upgrades difficult.

There’s no real reason not to use loom sleeves inside a case if they give you the appearance and organization you want. They come in different sizes and colors, so choose a diameter that doesn’t compress the cables and route the bundles where they won’t obstruct components or fans.

I use loom tubing selectively rather than covering every cable. Leave enough room for gentle bends, and make sure it doesn’t interfere with fans, components, or airflow. A slightly less polished setup is often worth it because removing and reinstalling all the sleeving during cleaning or upgrades can become a hassle.

That makes sense. I hadn’t considered how annoying it could be to remove everything whenever the case needs maintenance.

Yes, sleeving is commonly used for PC cables. Braided or woven sleeving usually looks cleaner, but split loom, spiral wrap, or other cable-management accessories can work perfectly well if you like the result.

That’s helpful, thanks! I build PCs and I’m always looking for practical ways to make cable routing easier.

Split loom and spiral wrap have been used for PC cable management for a long time. Braided mesh such as Techflex is another option, and some styles can be fitted around cables without removing the connectors. It tends to look cleaner while still keeping the cable bundle organized.
