I'm enrolled in an online lecture course, but my access to the materials will expire soon and I'm trying to finish everything in time. I'd like to keep copies for personal study because I'm not very familiar with Google Drive. Is there an official offline-download option, or should I ask the course provider for permission? Also, can viewing or saving the videos be anonymous?

If the owner has disabled downloads, don’t try to bypass that restriction or conceal what you’re doing. Contact the instructor or course provider and explain that your access is expiring; they may provide an authorized offline copy, extend your access, or enable downloads for personal study.
You generally shouldn’t assume this can be done anonymously. If you have to sign in, the organization may be able to see access activity, and recording or redistributing course material could violate its terms or copyright rules. Check whether the platform offers an official offline feature and get permission before making any copy.
