I'm planning my first new PC build in quite a while and would appreciate feedback on the parts. My budget is around $3,000, although getting closer to $2,500 would be ideal. The system will mainly be used for gaming, with some light CAD work. I'm looking at an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black, Gigabyte X870E AORUS ELITE X3D motherboard, 32GB of DDR5-6000 CL30 memory, a 1TB Samsung 9100 PRO PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD, a Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT, a Fractal Design North Mesh case, and a Corsair RM1200e 1200W power supply. Are there sensible places to cut cost without giving up much gaming performance? I'll be buying the parts in Finland, so local retailer availability and pricing may differ.

The 9800X3D is excellent for gaming, but you could consider a Ryzen 5 9600X if you want to cut the budget. It will be somewhat slower in CPU-limited games, but for a mostly gaming system with light CAD work, the difference may not justify the extra cost.
Do you have access to a nearby store that offers bundle deals on CPUs, motherboards, and memory? Those can sometimes bring the total down substantially.
A 1200W PSU is far more than this build needs. An 850W or 1000W quality unit should be plenty, depending on the final graphics card and the manufacturer’s recommendations. You could also compare the RX 9070 XT with a lower-power, less expensive alternative if pricing and software support make it a better deal in Finland.
The easiest savings would be moving to a less expensive cooler, choosing a B850 motherboard instead of an enthusiast-tier X870E board, using a good PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive rather than a PCIe 5.0 model, and dropping to an 850–1000W power supply. Those changes should reduce the price without meaningfully affecting gaming performance.
Unfortunately, I don’t have one nearby. I’ll be buying the PC in Finland, so I’ll need to compare prices from Finnish retailers instead.
